Tag Persons in your LinkedIn Post

The LinkedIn Tagging feature lets you tag people directly in LinkedIn posts created with contea, helping to increase reach and engagement.

1. Reconnect LinkedIn Account & Select Company Page (Required)

Before using tagging, you must reconnect your LinkedIn account & select your company page in contea.

Why:

• LinkedIn requires updated permissions for tagging and follower data.
• Without reconnecting, tagging will not be available.

👉 Go to Profile → Connect to LinkedIn, reconnect your account, and select your company page from the dropdown after the LinkedIn connection.

2. Who Can Be Tagged

A user is taggable only if:

• They follow your company page
• Tagging/mentions are allowed in their LinkedIn profile (Default Setting)
• Their LinkedIn profile is visible outside LinkedIn (Default Setting)

These are LinkedIn API limitations and cannot be overridden by contea. To keep your account safe, we strictly follow LinkedIn’s regulations.

3. Invite Users to Follow Your Company Page

If a user does not follow your company page yet, LinkedIn allows you to invite them directly.

How it works:

• Open your company page on LinkedIn (you must be an admin).
• In the bottom-left corner, click “Invite as follower.”
• Select the person you want to invite and submit.
